Frederick Forsyth
Frederick Forsyth is one of the world’s most popular thriller writers. His first novel, The Day of the Jackal, won the Edgar Allan Poe Award for Best Novel. Several of his thrillers such as The Odessa File, The Dogs of War, The Fourth Protocol, The Veteran and, more recently, The Afghan have been turned into equally successful films.

Forty years after his debut, Forsyth is still writing: his latest novel, Cobra, will be released in August 2010. Forsyth once was a journalist, which provided the background for him to write the novels.
