Writers from Japan, China, India and Philippines were announced in the Longlist for the Man Asian Literary Prize 2010. The list includes Japanese writer Kenzaburo Oe, who won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1994. And they are

Below the Crying Mountain by Criselda Yabes

The three distinguished judges for this year’s Prize are Monica Ali, Homi K. Bhabha and Hse-Ming Teo. And they announced the books from a total of 54 submitted by publishers (who were restricted to two titles each), written by authors from 14 different countries.
